Flying Blue Promo Rewards for August 2024

The Air France/KLM Flying Blue program has released a new Promo Rewards offerings for August 2024. This is a monthly promotion for Flying Blue members, offering discounts between 25% and 50% on award tickets. Let’s see how this promotion works and this month’s offerings.

What are Flying Blue Promo Rewards?

Flying Blue Promo Rewards are a selection of discounted award tickets on Air France and KLM. You can get up to 50% off and go further with your miles, although lately the discounts are usually 25%.

New Promo Reward are released on the first weekday of each month for short-haul flights, medium-haul flights and long-haul flights. That normally includes flights from the US to Europe, which is the most valuable part of this promotion for US based travelers. Discounts might include Economy or Premium cabin, depending on route.

Promo Rewards fares must be booked within the month that they are published. Travel must also take place within a certain period, so you must be somewhat flexible with your travel plans.

This month’s discounts include long-haul flights to Europe from select US for 15,000 miles one-way:

  • Boston
  • Detroit
  • Houston
  • Toronto

There are also short-haul flight available for travel within Europe for just 5,625 miles in economy.

Travelers between 2 and 11 years old get a discount of 25% on Reward tickets. These discounts only apply to Air France and KLM marketed flights.

How to Book

You can find these discounts here. Once you see an award that you think is worth booking, you need to head over to the Air France or KLM website. Log in to your account and choose the “Book with Miles” tab on the search box on the home screen. Then, enter your desired itinerary and click the “Search flights” button.

Then proceed to select your departing and return flights and then complete your booking. You must book your flights between August 1 and August 31, 2024 and travel through January 31, 2025.

You can also add a free stopover at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) or Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), but you need to call in to do so.

Earning Flying Blue Miles

You can earn Flying Blue miles with the Air France/KLM credit card that is issued from Bank of America. But the program is also a partner with several transferrable currencies, which makes it easy to rack up miles.

Flying Blue is transfer partners with Amex Membership Rewards, Capital One, Chase Ultimate Rewards, and Citi ThankYou. The latter currently has a 25% transfer bonus for Flying Blue.
