Chase Freedom 5% Categories for Q1 2025

Chase Freedom and Freedom Flex are great products to have in your wallet. They have no annual fee and earn Ultimate Rewards points when you have another Chase premium card. They also have 5% quarterly categories, which can be a good way to rack up rewards.

Now the Chase Freedom bonus categories have been revealed for Q1 2025. Let’s check out the full details.

Chase Freedom Cards

The Chase Freedom and Freedom Flex cards earn 1% on all purchases but also 5% on rotating quarterly bonus categories, up to a combined $1,500 in purchases. So you can earn up to $75 every quarter, if you maximize the eligible categories. You can even have more than one Freedom card. But it gets much better than that, since the cashback can be used as Ultimate Rewards points.

To do that, you need to have one of the premium or business cards from Chase. That’s Chase Sapphire PreferredChase Sapphire ReserveInk Business Preferred or Ink Business Plus. Then the points earned with your Chase Freedom cards can be converted into Ultimate Rewards points and transferred to travel partners.

  • McDonald’s
  • PayPal
